C06: The Siege to Come
To all our loyal soldiers,
Well, I don’t think fortifications have been this easy in the history of the Governed!
Deploying Overwatch Drones was an absolute breeze, thanks to the Smoke, all we had to do was fly them from the factory and they were up and running on the streets in seconds.
We also managed to sniff out a few Underworld Collective Cells which made for quite a delightful trip to Jerit’s Depot of Digit Delivery, I’ve honestly never seen so many customers at once!
Oh! I was also able to hide troops all the way along the border of the Circuits. No one seemed to notice, so I’ll chalk that up as a mini-win before we mud-stomp them. It’s the little things in life.
Also, the Council of 20 have sent out an ultimatum to the other factions: surrender or have your water shut off. It’s got them quaking in their boots (or at least I assume).
So honestly, I’ve had a very good week.
Now, all we have to do is figure out how we’re going to attack the Circuits.
We have a three options: Use the robots, Night Raids, or Destroy Morale.
Using the robots would entail pushing our android forces in through the Smoke’s border. This would force them to focus on the bots while we push troops in from Rivers End. This is really risky, considering that the Underworld Collective fortified their border, our organic troops will be facing snipers nests and heavy arms. This would be effective, but everything has to go perfectly.
Night Raids would mean moving dropships over the border and hoping they make it past enemy lines. While this might be effective if we’re able to land any amount of troops across the border, the Circuits have a litany of anti-air launchers. It’s risky but we’ve hedged our bets on riskier plans before.
Destroying Morale would mean that we will reveal our troops at the border and have them perform drills in front of the enemy. To add a personal touch, I’ll set up speakers behind them telling them to give up 24/7! I love psychological torture, it’s so unbelievably funny when they betray their ideals.
Anyways, as usual, the choice is yours, do me proud kiddos!
