C11: The Battle of Rivers End (Part 2)

Greetings from the Sea of Many

Today Dionea saw our sheer power, even if through faded eyes.

The push to encircle the water treatment plant was successful, with the Underworld Collective focusing on pushing the remaining forces back, we were able to breach the water treatment plant with ease.

There were very few Governed soldiers stationed in the water plant itself, only about a few dozen troops. The rest must have either fled while they could or were re-stationed to help the Governed evacuate.

We were able to get hold of the control room, turning on the water to all territories that have been starved of it. However, the water flow wasn’t getting back to Dionea fast enough and her condition was worsening.

I commanded our followers to drain one of the water tanks and transport it onto one of our transport ships. However, that’s when the Caver’s Grace wore out. The pilot on the ship had a heart attack, sending the transport crashing to the ground over Overwatch.

The Underworld Collective encircled the rest of the Governed’s troops as we were scrambling to give Dionea as much reserve water as we could. After hours of this, we felt our connection to Dionea fading as we had emptied the Crates of all our water. It seemed hopeless.

Just as we were giving up hope, the water from Rivers End arrived, soaking Dionea’s roots and resuscitating her. While she was revived and her connection to us restored, she is still extremely sick from the severe lack of water. Her condition may not be fatal anymore but she can not go through this again. We are just grateful that she is alive and we can continue our mission.

From here, we must focus on choosing our candidates for the joint operation of Rivers End and focus on Dionea’s recovery. She has requested that we thank you for your continued support and making the decision to lead us to victory.

We will update you on her condition in the coming days.
