C03: The Battle of the Smoke

To those with our cause in their hearts,

Our initial efforts to capture the Smoke have been successful, but we have not obtained full control of the area yet.

Our first scouting party was successful. They identified some vulnerabilities in the facility’s security system, relayed it to us, and we were able to shut down their outer defences.

From there, we pushed through to the factory floor. Our forces were able to fight all the way to the control centre, but the androids had fortified themselves inside as a last stand.

Now our forces are preparing to push into the control room. From here, we have two ways to go about this: we can either choose to throw everything we have at this for one final push, or we could EMP the Smoke.

A final push would more than likely lead to many of our resources being used and will certainly lead to more casualties. However, it would be the safer option, as it would mean having a shot at securing the facility with minimal damage to it’s systems.

EMPing the Smoke would mean sending a large electrical pulse through the factory. This would ensure the androids are disabled. However, we don’t know how old the equipment in the factory is, so this could fry the whole building. If everything is fried, we won’t be able to access any files or make new androids, rendering this mission obsolete.

It’s going to be a tough choice either way, but I have faith that you will make the right decision.
