C02: The Breakdown of Negotiations and Our Flag Above the Markets

To those with our cause in their hearts,

We have secured the Circuits, however, negotiations didn’t go as planned.

While the leader of the Circuits was receptive to our presence in the district, he was unwilling to grant us access to the underground tunnels.

After a rather heated back and forth, he ended up pulling a gun on me.

That’s when I saw it, he had a sledgehammer tattooed on his wrist, a symbol of the Governed.

It was a trap from the start!

After I escaped the room, I gave the signal for our troops to push into the territory.

We fought for days, only able to secure the town centre after a multi-hour long batle.

After we occupied the remaining territory, we were able to calm the population down, assuring them that we weren’t there to hurt them and that we wouldn’t interfere with their businesses.

Now that the area is secured, we can start thinking about future targets.

From here, we have a few options: The Smoke, Valhalla, Atlas, and Rivers End.

The Smoke is an abandoned android factory that has been building an army for a considerable amount of time. However, no one seems to know why the robots are being built or who they’re being built for. If we were able to capture the factory, we would have control of a near infinite android army that we could deploy anywhere through the Circuit’s tunnels. It’s inciting but we will most certainly meet heavy resistance from a number of enemies that we can’t quantify.

Valhalla is essentially a militarised retirement home. All the upper echelon of society are living out their final days next to heavily militarised drones and sniper towers. The territory has it’s advantages but above all else, there is a large pool of money that we can secure if we’re able to occupy the territory. The only thing is, they are heavily defended so it will be an even tougher fight than the Circuits.

Atlas is the capital of the Governed, housing the richest and most dogmatic population in the Dome. Atlas is the only territory that the Governed own, taking it would mean wiping them off the map entirely. In saying that, the Governed also know that, they will defend it to the last man. In addition to this, their population has been radicalised so it would be extremely hard to hold onto, they may even ask the Cultivation Society for aid if they’re attacked.

Rivers End is the biggest water plant in all of Atlaunder. If we controlled it, we would be able to restrict water access as a bargaining chip with the other factions. The only problem is, like the Smoke, it is heavily fortified by the workers and they have been able to push back all three factions at once in the past. It would be risky to put it bluntly.

As always, the choice is yours, I know you’ll do us proud.
