C04: Now We Wait
Greetings from the sea of many.
Our mission to assimilate Rivers End has begun, now the only thing to do is wait.
We were able to identify a shipment of food that was heading to Rivers End. We intercepted it when it crossed into the Reeds. Our scouts implanted Dionea’s seeds into the food supply while the shipment was still moving.
From what our scouts saw from the border, the shipment made it into the factory without incident. Depending on when the food is served, the seeds will take up to a month to take control of the whole facility. For now, we must leave it be and trust that the Lady of Vines will bring that facility to its knees.
In the meantime, we ended up sorting through the data in the control room at Overwatch. We have made a few interesting discoveries, more specifically, an absolute mountain of blackmail. We have a few targets we wish to expose but we’ve narrowed it down to two main targets: The Council of 20 or Atiley Ona.
The Council of 20 are the leaders of the Governed. They have so far remained anonymous and elusive to the public. However, Overwatch managed to figure out their identities. Releasing these names will give the Underworld Collective a list of targets and stir chaos among the elites of Atlas. However, this would more than likely put us in the Governed’s crosshairs and leave our territories open to invasion.
Atiley Ona is the leader of the Underworld Collective. She has recently avoided direct conflict with us but if our sources are correct, she has her eyes on the Reeds. We could cut her down early, reducing the rebel group as a future threat. However, this might also backfire, empowering the group and making us their new target.
In addition to all this blackmail, we found out that one of our own has infiltrated the rank of the Governed. They sabotaged an attempt to intercept our communications with a sense of finesse. We would like to thank this person; however, we suggest you inform us next time you pull something like this.
As usual, you have a very important choice to make.
